“Kundalini” is a Sanskrit term that translates to “coiled snake” in reference to the energy that often rests dormant, or “coiled” at the base of the spine. When this energy rises and awakens, it promotes spiritual enlightenment through a number of different experiences or sensations. Kundalini yoga is proven to ease stress and anxiety, improve cognitive function and boost self-perception and self-appreciation. Though there is some movement involved in Kundalini, expect this class to be a more spiritual practice guaranteed to cleanse and awaken your body, mind and spirit.

What Is Yoga?

Yoga classes are designed to help you develop strength, flexibility, and balance. You’ll learn how to use breathing techniques to deepen the connection between your mind and body. Through a variety of poses, you’ll be encouraged to explore ways of moving that are safe and effective for your individual needs. Classes may include meditation, relaxation techniques, and chanting as well as physical postures.
